Class Descriptions

BODYATTACK™  – is the sports-inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina. This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises. Dynamic instructors and powerful music motivate everyone towards their fitness goals – from the weekend athlete to the hard-core competitor! Like all the LES MILLS™ programs, a new BODYATTACK™ class is released every three months with new music and choreography. To see a demo go to the video tab under schedule.

BODYPUMP™ – is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great music, awesome instructors and your choice of weight inspire you to get the results you came for – and fast! Bokwa® - is a new and completely different approach to group exercise that is rapidly spreading across the globe. Bokwa® participants draw letters and numbers with their feet while performing an energizing and a addictive cardio routine. Moving together to today’s most popular music participants of all ages draw the Bokwa® L, 3, J, K and dozens of other steps. If you can move and you can spell, you can Bokwa®!

Boot Camp w/Amanda (Wednesday’s 8:00 am) – A combination of strength, cardio, muscle endurance, flexibility, core, and functional movements designed to boost your metabolism and increase cardiovascular endurance.

Boot Camp w/Mario (Thursday’s 5:30 pm) – this is a sports conditioning circuit style class that offers individual instruction in a group exercise setting. This class is designed with effective various exercises techniques, which includes both strength conditioning and cardiovascular exercises executed at high intensity.  Whether you need to lose a large amount of weight, enjoy extreme sports conditioning, or just want the physical challenge that a fitness Boot Camp can provide Mario’s Boot camp will give you that and more.  Mario’s mission is to help active adults, both the athlete and the non-athlete improve and/or maintain their fitness level.  All levels are welcome.

Slim Sculpt - A standing based Pilates workout using light weights to lengthen, strengthen and tone your major muscle groups without adding extra bulk.

Tabatas - An exercise strategy alternating of short term intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods.  These short intense bursts provide improved athletic capacity that will put your body in the metabolic training mode that burns fat, tones your body, and helps you get the results you want.

Triple Threat - This is a full body, boot camp style workout that incorporates Turbo Kick, Zumba Toning, and Tabatas.

Turbo Kick - Burn calories and blast fat! Turbo Kick® mixes kickboxing and simple dance moves with music that makes you want to move it! You’ll love having fun and losing weight.

Train Like a Boxer - This is a high intensity boxing fitness routine patterned after professional boxing workouts using the standard 3-minute round intervals.  This class is designed to develop the basic fundamentals of boxing (e.g. footwork, agility, punching, combinations, etc), while getting a great cardio workout and burning tons of calories.  You will enhance your endurance, core strength, muscle memory and lean muscle mass.  This is a non-contact class.  All levels are welcome.  Classes are not part of the NHSF curriculum.  $6 per class for NHSF members and $10 per class for non-members.
